Birk

The place

Birch-wood shelter (vindskydd) at 90 m, designed by an architect, in the birch grove of the "Mellan skymning och gryning" camp (Hovdala, Hässleholm, Skåne, Sweden). Overlooks Lake Finjasjön and the surrounding hills. Three shelters on the site (Birk, Birka, Ronja); Birk sleeps 2-4 people. Built from local timber (birch, pine, oak) with split birch-log cladding. Full roof and lockable door (unlike traditional vindskydd). Rate 300 SEK/night for Birk. Camp facilities: picnic tables, grill and toilets. Access between 4pm (arrival) and 10am (departure). Booking required.
