The place
Bihoreau in the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park, Baie-Saint-Paul/Clermont sector (Charlevoix, Quebec, Canada), at 679 m altitude, spectacular canyon of the Malbaie river (800 m cliffs). Continuous Quebec cluster (batches 234-315). SÉPAQ hut in the canyon (the 2nd deepest canyon in eastern North America after the Grand Canyon), an area of balsam fir, Innu heritage. "Bihoreau" = Nycticorax nycticorax, the black-crowned night heron found in Charlevoix. UNESCO biosphere reserve since 1988.
