The place

DOC serviced hut with 20 bunks in Victoria Forest Park (West Coast, Greymouth area), at 699 m. Online booking until 30 June 2027; same-day online booking until 8 pm subject to availability. No walk-ins if full. Backcountry Hut Pass accepted. Rates until 30 June 2026: adult NZ$25, youth 5-17 years NZ$12.50, child 0-4 years free. Bunks assigned on arrival, not in advance. Phone or visitor-centre booking: NZ$10 service fee. New rates from 1 July 2026.
