Bietschhornhütte

The place

Hut at 2,565 m in the Lötschental (Valais, Switzerland), one of three huts belonging to the Akademischer Alpenclub Bern (AACB). Original charm preserved, 22 beds. Welcomes climbers, hikers, and families with children. Daily baking, rösti, and homemade cheese specialties. A base for the Bietschhorn, Wilerhorn, Schafbärg, and numerous alpine routes. Access from Ried (1,486 m) in 2h15-2h45, from Wiler and Kippel; e-bike possible for the first 600 m of ascent.
