Besidka (Ukrainian-Slavic "picnic gazebo"), in a beech-fir forest zone of Zakarpattia's Carpathians (UNESCO Ancient Beech Forests, Beskyd-Krasna Reserve, 22,000 ha, brown bear Ursus arctos, wolf Canis lupus, lynx Lynx lynx — Europe's three large predators), Rusyn/Ruthenian heritage (Slavic people, 250,000 in Ukraine, a "trap door" invisible to the West, a minority recognized only in Ukraine since 1990, distinct from Austro-Hungarian Ukrainians since the 1867 historical differentiation).
