The Bergrettung Struth-Helmershof e.V. operates two cabins at 731 m altitude on the Sperrhügel, in the municipality of Floh-Seligenthal (Schmalkalden-Meiningen, Thuringia, Germany). An independent association with 115 members, 50 of them active. Had to change its name from 'Bergwacht' to 'Bergrettung' due to trademark protection held by the German Red Cross (DRK). Active in event safety in summer and winter and along its section of the Rennsteig. Municipal property (Floh-Seligenthal). Snack bar open Tuesday-Wednesday 11am-5pm and weekends Saturday-Sunday in good weather (flag raised).
