The place

Self-service DNT Odal cabin in a forest clearing near Lake Langtjennet in Sør-Odal. Three fixed beds for a maximum of 5 people with extra bedding, duvets and pillows provided. Locked with a standard DNT key or a code lock. Vehicles cannot reach the cabin: parking 600 m away, short walk. Several access routes: Høljørvegen (toll 75 NOK via Vipps), Lillesetvegen from the west, or bus from Skarnes or Kongsvinger stations. In winter, ski or snowshoe depending on snow cover; limited road maintenance. 2026 rates: standard 900 NOK/night (100 NOK day use); DNT member 600 (50).
