Bergerie Inférieure de Mary

The place

Lower sheepfold at 2300 m in the Mary valley, municipality of Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), above the hamlet of Maljasset. Packed-earth floor, wooden bed, 2 benches and a table (as of September 2022). Access via the D 25 to its end at Maljasset, car park at the entrance to the hamlet. The great Mary valley opens through a gorge on the left bank of the Ubaye, facing the hamlet of Combe Brémond, and extends upstream from the lower sheepfold between the slopes of the Pointes de Mary.
