The place

The shortcut (unfinished road - Valsavarenche) shown on the Refuges info map was closed. Although unmaintained, several buildings can still serve as basic shelter. From the Col de Nivollet: either follow the unfinished road for several km, to the junction with trail n°3A, then descend to the right; or follow the valley-bottom trail n°3, then turn left just before the place called Croix de l'Aroley.
