The place

Shepherd's cabin at 1704 m in the Préalpes de Haute-Provence (Embrunais / Ubaye), probably closed during the summer season. Comfortable interior: mattresses, furniture, stove (no saw for firewood). Stream right nearby. Access via the tour des Monges, from the east via the Col du Fanget, from the west via the Col des Tomples on a variant of the GR 6. Found closed in June 2024, but conflicting reports from visitors who found it open at other times.
