The place

Probably private but abandoned sheepfold at 1375 m in the Vercors massif (Drôme). No comfort, watertight roof, door that closes poorly, fireplace blocked by snow, unappealing straw bedding. Inaccessible since October 2011 — broken roof and interior completely overgrown with vegetation. State of decay worsening every winter. Located on private pasture, the owner doesn't seem to care. Winter access from the Grand Échaillon ski resort, summer access from the Col de la Bataille.
