The place

Unstaffed log cabin managed by DNT Oslo og Omegn, located at 345 m in the heart of the Romeriksåsene, near a stream. Four beds, 25 m² across two rooms: a living area with a kitchenette and a bedroom. Equipment: gas stove, wood stove, basic utensils; no electricity. Advance booking by DNT members, access with a standard DNT key. Day visits allowed between 12 pm and 4 pm if the cabin is not booked. Bring clean sheets and a pillowcase. Dogs allowed (not on the beds). No parties. Boil stream water before use. Summer access: 2 km from the Grøsåkervangen parking lot (blue-marked trail or gravel road). Winter access: red-marked ski trails from the same starting point. Multi-cabin connections: 10 km south to Spikertjernhytta, 14 km north to Råbjørnhytta.
