The place

DOC standard hut with 8 bunks in the Upper Wairau River area (Nelson Lakes / Nelson-Tasman), at 1,050 m elevation. Transitional landscape between the vast tussocks and scree of the Clarence River and the steep mountains covered in beech forest. Access: 5h30 from Connors Hut.
