The place
Staffed refuge at 2,297 m in the Orobie Alps above Valbondione, managed by the CAI Bergamo section. The oldest refuge in the province of Bergamo, dedicated to Antonio Baroni, a pioneer of Orobic mountaineering. Sixty sleeping places and a dining room with as many seats, half-board provided by Marco Brignoli. A stage on the Sentiero delle Orobie Occidentali, it serves the peaks of Pizzo Coca and Pizzo Redorta. Known for its demanding access, one of the hardest in the Orobie.
