The place

DNT cabin at Lake Ångardsvatnet, Storlidalen valley in Trollheimen, at 631 m, operated by Trondhjems Turistforening with resident wardens available year-round. 20 bunks across several room configurations, all-season road access via route 70 from Oppdal or Sunndalsøra to Lønset then 3 km of local road; seasonal bus on route 70. Comfortable self-service: fully equipped kitchen with electric hotplate, dining room, lounge with fireplace, shower, toilets, running water, 220 V electricity, dedicated room for dogs. Cabin locked with a DNT key, advance booking or drop-in. DNT members: approx. 30% discount. Respect for fragile mountain ecosystems and Sámi reindeer husbandry; particular caution during calving season (May-June), dogs must be kept on a leash.
