Baraque Forestière du Plainet

The place

Forest hut at 1335 m in the Vercors (Drôme), commune of Vassieux-en-Vercors. Access from the prehistory museum car park in Vassieux-en-Vercors via the GR95 (forest track) heading south for 4 km. The hut itself is closed and access has been forbidden since early May 2025; the adjoining lean-to is open and can serve as an emergency shelter in case of serious trouble. Owned by the commune of Marignac, reserved for its residents. Fontaine du Plainet at the bend in the forest track, right nearby.
