Baraque Forestière du Lauset

The place

Fully timber hut at 1243 m in the Vercors massif (Drôme, commune of Marignac-en-Diois). Access from the car park of the Vassieux-en-Vercors Prehistory Museum, following the GR 95 south for 1 km. Inside: 2 tables, 2 chairs, 2 wooden benches, 2 stools, large cupboard fixed to the wall. No dishes or tools, but a broom and shovel. Large attic whose windows have been replaced with plexiglass. Major renovation undertaken by the commune. Fontaine du Lauset nearby.
