Baraque Forestière de Pravert

The place

Large wooden building, with a stove standing in the middle of the single room. Quite dirty (too big?). Poorly insulated, closures in bad condition. Sleeping in a mezzanine above the main room. No spring nearby, but the L'Ebron torrent is right there. There is a car park on the forest road, before the ford, near the point marked "Radier" on the Top25 map. At the exit of Tréminis, head toward "Le Serre" and just before crossing the bridge, take the forest road on the left for 500 m to the car park. Then simply climb this forest road, following the frequent "Alpage de Courtet" markings. The hut is well before the alpine pasture but that's the direction. Near the 1,280 m elevation point, you must cross the torrent to find the forest road again opposite, a bit lower down. ONF, Tréminis sector.
