Baraque de Crobache

The place

Renovated refuge at 1434 m in the Vercors (Drôme), 4 km from the Col de Carri via forest track or via the trails from Chaud Clapier (Font d'Urle resort). Recently repainted, shutters repaired, graffiti removed; clean and well maintained by young people from a centre near Arras. Cut firewood is always available for the stove. Capacity 12 places, two tables, three benches. No mobile signal at the hut, but about 150 m to the northeast on a small grassy rise, weak but usable signal for calls. In winter, accessible by cross-country skiing (track in front of the refuge) or snowshoes.
