Baraque de Chamousset

The place

A very basic shelter: 4 walls, a roof and a floor. It appears to be weatherproof, but that's the minimum comfort on offer — no table, no bench, no stove. The shepherd's house next door is private and closed. For a bit more comfort, better to head to the nearby refuges of Chamailloux or l'Essaure. Climb via the Combeau valley and l'Essaure in 2 h, or via Richardière and the Refuge de Chamailloux (noticeably longer).
