The place
Bamsebu ("Bear's cabin" in Norwegian) on the Hardangervidda plateau, Ullensvang/Odda sector (Norway), at 1353 m elevation. Note: same name as the famous Bamsebu hunting cabin on Svalbard (Van Keulenfjorden). Here, a DNT or private cabin on the largest mountain plateau in Northern Europe, a heritage of wild reindeer hunters (villreinstammer). Alpine zone of dwarf willows, twisted birches and lichens.
