A herder's balagan on a grassy clearing ("Бурьянистая" abandoned and overgrown with weeds, "burya"), on the historic route 30 GKZ, a Soviet-era gulag site, naturalized as a reserve in 1934, in an area of Oriental beech Fagus orientalis + Nordmann fir Abies nordmanniana, heritage of the Circassian Adyghe people (Muhajir exodus of 1864, 500,000 to Turkey and the Balkans after the Russo-Turkish War).
