The place

Restored alpine building at 1400 m, at San Giacomo di Moia, on the Val Tesso - Val Grande watershed (Lanzo Valleys, Piedmont, Italy). Social refuge of the CAI Lanzo section: capacity 20 beds across two self-contained units upstairs, 10 bunk beds per unit. Self-sufficient services with hot water, showers, solar-panel lighting. Weekly self-managed operation by member families. Access by car in 15 minutes from Chiaves or on foot in 1h30, with views over the Ceres and Ala valleys.
