Bad Kissinger Hütte
The place
Staffed hut of the Deutscher Alpenverein (Bad Kissingen section) at 1792 m, set at the foot of the Aggenstein in the Tannheimer Berge, on the border between Bavarian Allgäu and Tyrol. The hut offers 61 beds across 2- and 4-bed rooms, three dormitories of 6 or 7 places, plus an 8-bed winter room for self-catering. Paid showers. Recognized with the DAV's "Umweltgütesiegel" environmental label as an exemplary eco-friendly hut. Run by Liam and Johannes since 2024. Peaks reachable from the hut: Aggenstein (1987 m, 30 min), Brentenjoch (2000 m, 1h30) and Große Schlicke (2059 m, 3h30).

From the Tannheimer Tal (Tyrol) or from the Pfronten side (Bavaria).
