The place
Staffed Swiss Alpine Club hut at 2,328 m in the Aar massif, Grimsel area (canton of Bern), run by the SAC Am Albis section. Seventy-five beds in high season, twelve places in the winter room. Extended schedule: summer season from mid-June to mid-October, ski-touring season from mid-March to mid-May depending on conditions. Winter hut accessible outside the season by prior phone booking.
