The place

Staffed mountain inn at 1950 m in an alpine cirque above Salvan (Valais, Switzerland), between the Trient and Illiez valleys. Offers dormitories and private rooms. Restaurant and panoramic terrace open from 11:30am to 4pm. Unusual accommodation "La Cahute du Bouquetin" (The Ibex Hut). A hub for numerous day hikes and multi-day treks, including the Tour des Dents-du-Midi (3 to 5 days). Discovery trail through old gold mines.
