The place

DNT self-service cabin (ubetjent) at 258 m in Trømborgfjella (Norway). Access from the R22 towards Trømborg, then a toll road (70 kr) to the Dammyrveien parking lot; about 1.2 km on foot. Capacity for 12 in three rooms (two of 4 people, one of 3-4). Facilities: gas stove, wood stove and fireplace for heating, solar lighting to be used sparingly, two outdoor toilets, basic kitchen equipment, duvets and pillows provided (bring your own sheets). Grill area with firewood. Standard DNT key required. Registration in the logbook mandatory on arrival. Dogs allowed only in the Kjelen room (two kennels available). DNT member rates: 345 kr adults 26+, 170 kr ages 13-25, free under 12. Non-members: 520/335/240 kr. Activities: hiking, fishing, swimming, skiing in winter.
