The place
A hut-shelter at 397 m on the Kammweg (ridge trail, a few meters below the ridgeline on the south side) of the Großer Arius (445 m), a wooded ridge in the western Wasgau between Pirmasens and Ruppertsweiler (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany). Reached by a short detour from the hiking trail. Close to the PWV-Hütte Starkenbrunnen (Pfälzerwald-Verein). The huts of the Pfälzerwald have been recognized as intangible cultural heritage since March 2021.
