The place
Unstaffed alpine bivouac at 3,225 m at the foot of the Ober Gabelhorn in the Valais Alps, managed by the SAC Zermatt section. Fifteen places and a fully equipped kitchen, a base for experienced mountaineers with appropriate equipment. Gift from the Royal Dutch Alpine Association to the SAC Zermatt section in 1977, for the KNAV's 75th anniversary.

Getting there
Access from Zermatt via Zmutt, Kalbermatten, the Arben waterfall, the Arbengandegga and the Arben glacier, 5 to 6 hours' walk in high mountains.
