Anne Hut

The place

DOC serviced-category hut with twenty bunks located at 891 m in the St James Conservation Area (Canterbury). Rate NZD 25 for adults and NZD 12.50 for children aged 5-17 per night (free under 5) for the hut; NZD 10 for adults and NZD 5 for youth for camping. Firewood is provided but may run out; dead wood may be collected. Online booking, availability through 30 June 2027; same-day bookings accepted until 8pm. No spaces are held for walk-ins without a booking. Backcountry Hut Pass valid only from 1 May to 30 September; camping within 200 m is available year-round. No radio on site: carry a PLB beacon.
