The place

A single empty room, used only as shelter in case of rain or snowfall. Sweeping view over the Isère valley from the single window, which has no glass or bars. Nearby is the developed Echaillon viewpoint, offering a fine view over the western foothills of the Chartreuse. From the hamlet of Petit Port, follow various yellow-marked paths toward "chapelle Saint-Ours". It is reached after a 30-minute walk.
