The place
Self-service DNT hut managed by Kristiansund og Nordmøre Turistforening in the heart of the Dovrefjell near Snøhetta (Innlandet), at 1,304 m. 34 bunks: 24 in the main house and 10 in the annex/emergency shelter. Open year-round except during the reindeer calving period (6 April - 18 June). Gas hobs, wood stove, 12V lighting, water from the stream. No mobile coverage. The stone building was damaged by storm Amy; major renovations June 2026 - August 2026. Summer trail from Snøheimveien, no marked winter road.
