The place

Record named "Albertville" probably corresponds to the refuge du Plan de la Lai, run by the Club Alpin Français Albertville section, at the entrance to the Plan de la Lai overlooking the Roselend lake and dam by 250 m, at the heart of the Beaufortain massif (Savoie). Pastures dominated to the south by the Aiguille du Grand Fond (2920 m). Open and staffed from early June to mid-September, open without a warden and without booking during winter road closures, generally from mid-December to mid-March depending on snow cover. During the unstaffed period, a supplement for gas and wood is added to the overnight fee.
