The place

Free päivätupa (day shelter) run by Metsähallitus, located in the municipality of Salla in Eastern Lapland. Small day-use-only shelter: two seats, a fireplace and a gas hob for a break. No sauna, no firewood service, no water supply, no toilet installed. Overnight stays are not allowed. Free use under the general päivätupa rules.
