The place
A rock shelter on the Larzac plateau, in the Aveyron département (Occitanie, France), at 820 m, near La Couvertoirade/La Cavalerie. Part of the Larzac cluster (batches 200+216). A natural shelter historically used by shepherds, within the Causses and Cévennes UNESCO reserve. An area of karst causses and native orchids.
