Abri Sailley
The place
A large table, 2 benches, superb view over the Saint-Maurice-sur-Moselle valley. Water point right next to the hut. Shelter with an axe, broom and stove. Nature reserve regulations forbid camping and bivouacking. It is therefore forbidden to sleep in or near the Abri Sailley. A sign fixed to the back of the building recalls this regulation. From the D16 which runs alongside the Ballon de Servance, take the GR towards the Ballon d'Alsace, after 1km turn left onto the GR7/GR533 (green rectangle waymarking), the shelter is about 100m from there. From the Ballon d'Alsace, take the GR towards Col du Stalon/Ballon de Servance, pass the Col du Stallon, then the Col du Luthier, and shortly after this pass, turn right onto the GR7.
