The place

Shelter at 1149 m in the Hautes-Vosges (Haut-Rhin), accessible via the path starting from the Haag farm and running alongside the road to the Ballon. Fireplace and axe (the latter missing since February 2021). No insulation to speak of (draughty). No water on site — ask at the Haag farm 1.5 km to the north, checking opening hours.
