The place
Emergency shelter at 2698 m in the Ossau valley on the Spanish side (Huesca, Aragon), at the foot of the "grande diagonale" of the Pic de Balaïtous (3144 m). Cave fitted with a door, capacity of about 3 people, hidden under large boulders. Survival blanket on site. Mainly used by mountaineers to shelter from storms or bivouac before the climb.
