The place

Shelter in very poor condition at 2280 m in the Queyras massif (Hautes-Alpes), packed-earth floor. A flock of sheep guarded by two Pyrenean mountain dogs and an Anatolian shepherd dog nearby — caution advised. Empty outside the summer grazing season (early June, before the flock arrives). Water points potentially available nearby but with some uncertainty (piped spring versus a stream requiring treatment). No interior fittings. Serves as an occasional shelter on routes in the area.
