The place

This spot appears on IGN maps as a "forest shelter." It is a single-block masonry building, no upper floor. No equipment. Water seeps at the bottom of a small valley 200 m to the east. Wood is everywhere. The most recent comment leaves no doubt about its condition: a building falling apart, unfit as a shelter!! Central sector of Mont Lozère, south-facing slope. Along the Nègre forest road, a side track heads south-east and leads to the shelter. Roughly 1750 m as the crow flies NNW of the hamlet of La Brousse. ONF
