The place

Shelter at 1230 m in the wider Jura, northern Rousses sector, on the Long Chemin forest road linking the Combette forest road (GR 5 / Échappée Jurassienne) to the Croix du Tronc forest road. 1 table, 2 benches, 1 stove, upstairs sleeping space for about 5 people. Access to the sector prohibited from December 15 to June 30 (Risoux biotope zone); access to the nearby trail and the sector allowed under conditions from May 15 per prefectural order. Per recent visits (January 2024), shelter still open and in decent condition, stove functional, but the roof is not fully watertight: only 2 dry spots upstairs during heavy rain.
