Abri du Razzu Biancu

Haute-Corse · France0 mUnguardedVerified listing

The place

Very basic shepherd's shelter at 716 m in Haute-Corse (Venaco, Monte Rotondo area), built of dry stone, south-facing, about 9 m², no door or furniture, slightly damp earth floor. Occasionally used by cavers. Access via a good trail heading south from the fountain at Venaco-Serraggio, reaching the former Razzu Biancu marble quarry in 45 min. At the foot of the quarried limestone mass, pass a ruined building and take a trail descending south-east for about fifty metres; the shelter is in the middle of a sort of cleared grazing area.
