The place

Shelter at 619 m on the Route Joffre linking Masevaux to the Thann valley (Haut-Rhin, Alsace, Vosges massif). Rest area with a small hut, tables and benches. Unavoidable waypoint at the crossroads of many paths linking the Masevaux and Thann valleys. Stage on segment 17 of the GR 5 (European trail) which starts in Thann and climbs to the summit of the Ballon d'Alsace.
