L'abri se trouve sur le tracé du GR5, sur le tronçon reliant le Baerenkopf à Masevaux, entre le ballon Saint-Nicolas et le Südel.
The setting
Structure très rudimentaire avec un mur manquant, sans literie ni chauffage, équipée de deux tables et d'un foyer ouvert ; une forêt est accessible à moins de 100 mètres mais aucune eau potable n'est disponible à proximité immédiate.
