The place

Small basic shelter, free access, at 2100 m in the Belledonne massif (Isère), accessible in about 2 h from the Cascade des Sept-Laux. Very rustic construction: one wall consists of a large boulder, the other three of stacked stones, metal roof, metal door too, dirt-and-stone floor. Capacity up to 4 people packed in. No indoor equipment. Water seeps in when it rains — two walls sweat and the roof leaks where the nails are. Located near an EDF building. Should be considered an emergency shelter only.
