The place

Shelter at 2180 m in the Grandes Rousses / Arves area (Maurienne). Semi-circular corrugated metal structure in need of repair. Inside: 2 mattresses and an old stove in poor condition. Can serve as shelter in case of storm. Access via a horizontal contour trail from the Chalet de Chanin toward the Coirnavan valley, passing the Chanin spring and climbing 50 m to the shelter.
