The place

Basic wooden shelter on a concrete floor at 1530 m in the Plaine de Dran, toward the Pas du Loup, starting from the Chapelle Notre-Dame des Neiges (Bornes-Aravis massif, Haute-Savoie). Slightly renovated in 2013, spartan comfort, wooden boards letting light through, virtually no insulation. A few boards serve as benches inside. Water accessible from a pipe coming out of the ground in front of the neighbouring main chalet (a few dozen metres away). Emergency shelter only.
