Abri du bois du Permay

The place

Charming small wooden cabin (2-3 m) at 1240 m in the Bois du Permay (Vercors-Diois), not perfectly weatherproof in places, single-pitch roof covered with apparently watertight insulation. The door lets daylight through and closes with a string on the inside and a chain on the outside; window in good condition with glass that closes well. Packed earth floor that appears dry, one sleeping platform (1 place), no table, a small miniature stool, shelf with provisions (salt, coffee, dishes and utensils, a bit dusty), a stock of wood (small branches and kindling) to be replenished, old wood stove. Montagne du Chatel (or Bonnet de Calvin) visible between the trees behind, view of the Valbonnais in front (Piquet de Nantes, Tabor, Coiro, Colombier).
