The place

Stone shelter along a semi-driveable forest track. On my visit on 10/12/2015, it was surrounded by scaffolding. It had been badly damaged by vandals, with broken windows and chimney. After repairs, it will probably consist of an entrance vestibule doubling as a woodshed, a dining room with a fireplace, and an attic. For now, it is unusable and offers only shelter from rain and wind. It is empty of furniture. There is a spring crossing the path 5 min to the east. From the D136, park at the place called Le Mont du Tronc. Head toward the Ladramont pond and follow the GRP des Villages et Châteaux de Haute-Saône for 300 metres. At the junction with a forest track, turn left toward the northwest. Follow this track to the refuge.
