The place
A small, basic shelter at 651 m, in the Bornes-Aravis sector on the forest track between Vieugy and Quintal (IGN point on the 3431OT Lac d'Annecy map). An open, horse-shelter-type structure, earth floor, located at a crossroads of four trails near the information boards, tucked in a corner of a field hidden by trees. Intended only as a stopgap in bad weather; of limited interest as a stopover given its immediate proximity to inhabited areas. No comfort, no facilities.
